Air Signs: Gemini ∙ Libra ∙ Aquarius

Air is related to the mental body. Its concerns are the mind, the intellect, thoughts, and learning.

Gemini relates to communication in all its forms -- connecting with others through language, artistic expression, body language, media, signs, and symbols. Gemini is symbolized by the twins, representing duality and versatility.

Because it's an air element, where you have Gemini, you need to have freedom to move and you're able to switch from one side to the other. When it's in harmony, it's a good ability to go back and forth between the yin and the yang.

Gemini wants to vocalize and express, but when it goes unconscious, it may struggle to express needs directly, not be able to ask for what it wants, and then become frustrated if their needs aren't being met. For context, think 8th House (transformation and hidden desires).

Libra is the only sign that is personified with an inanimate object -- the scales. This is the legend of Osiris weighing the heart against the feather. This is a powerful representation of the emphasis on justice, truth, and the pursuit of an ethical and harmonious existence.

Where you have Libra, the energy is seeking a balance and a harmony. When Libra is harmonized, Libra is able to see both sides and cut out what is unnecessary.

Imagine the Justice card in the Tarot, having the giant sword in one hand and a scale in the other.

When Libra goes unconscious, it can be cold and overly calculating, driven solely by the balance of situations, sometimes appearing detached or indifferent. Doesn't mean mean. It's just a scale.

It would be easy to suppose Aquarius is related to water because of the water-bearer symbolism. However, the water in the vessel doesn't represent the element of water itself but rather the metaphorical flow of knowledge or the collective consciousness.

It's about the sharing of ideas, inspiration, and innovation that Aquarius brings to society and the world. Remember the story of Prometheus stealing fire from the gods and bringing it to humans. Aquarius is driven by the desire to improve community or society.

When unconscious, Aquarius might experience feelings of isolation and detachment. It may rebel against authority or established norms, similar to how Prometheus defied the gods' rules and brought fire to humanity.

Transformation through these air signs leads a person to become an adept communicator with a sense of justice and a vision for progress and positive change.

Through the influence of Gemini, a person undergoes a process of exploration, learning, and communication.

Libra brings refinement and cultivates diplomacy and a desire for peaceful resolution.

Aquarius is marked by a progressive mindset, a deeper understanding of collective consciousness, and a commitment to creating a better world.

These are different expressions of the same air element, and refinement is not necessarily better. Each transformation serves its purpose and contributes valuable traits to an individual's traits and life journey.
